Sicam 2013

Like every year in October, the international kitchen industry got together again at the SICAM trade fair in the north Italian city of Pordenone in 2013. The exhibition attracted approx. 16,000 visitors, kitchen and furniture manufacturers from 94 countries. Once again Kesseböhmer ranked among the most popular exhibitors this year as well and was generally very satisfied with its success at the trade fair.

"We got some really good feedback on our new products and their emotional presentation"
, says Burkhard Schreiber, Managing Director of Kesseböhmer. "All of our key customers from Italy and many German business partners stopped by our exhibition stand. We even had a higher volume of visitors from East European countries. After an initially slow start on the first day of the trade fair, we had some promising talks regarding future product placements particularly with a view to Eurocucina 2014 later on."

Customers reacted positively especially to the smooth running features of the new "FreeLift" family. The new alcove range "Linero MosaiQ" also went down extremely well with our design-oriented Italian customers, who also saw some possible applications outside the kitchen, e.g. in office or bathroom areas.

Visitors were surprised and thrilled at how easy it is to open and close the new "Convoy Premio". Integrated in homely made-to-order furniture with display units as part of the architecture, the new shelf fittings for "Convoy" were also a focus of attention. In cooperation with Cap. and Rockenhausen, Kesseböhmer presented innovative, high-quality shelf designs made of aluminium and wood with many individualisation options. This possible customisation, i.e. adaptation of a serial product to special customer requirements, was perceived by the visitors as a great opportunity for the future.
