Purapietra take part in the event organized by Code Magazine and Salamanca Design & Co in the Design District of Brera

Purapietra once again take part in Milan's Fuori Salone, with an installation highlighting the company's experience in the stone industry. In the Food Design Factory, set up in via delle Erbe, the chefs, bar staff and all the workers involved prepared fresh and wholesome food on workbenches created from selected slabs of Quarzite Pacific Grey and Quarzite Brown. "These two stone materials are very elegant in their minimalism", says Fabio Moscato, founder of the Purapietra brand, "chosen to interpret the spirit of the installation in general. The clean-cut design of the structures would not have borne a strongly-coloured or glaringly-textured stone material.  In cases like these the furnishing should frame the food, without clouding its flavour with an over-the-top aesthetic."

Purapietra is a partner of the Food Design Factory –
an adventure combining purpose-designed spaces and flavours – synonymous with identity and culture, as well as with a discovery of the territory and its raw materials.

The Company

Purapietra was founded in 2012, springing from the experience of Moscato Marmi, a company known for the quality of its workmanship, its advanced technological know-how and its deep knowledge about the "world of stone". Granite, quartz, limestone, travertine, onyx...Nature creates the raw materials that the company hand-picks to create architecture, interiors and furnishing objects, unique in the singularity of their material and in their design by well-known contemporary architects.

The collections offered by Purapietra close the loop of forty years of technical competence applied to the challenges of design. In fact, from bathroom to outdoor furnishing, the brand offers collections in which the level of aesthetic and technological innovation can be clearly read. But since every stone has its own "character", design in Purapietra furnishing also becomes a poetic interpretation of the material – a new point of view that lets the nature of the surfaces speak for themselves.

Purapietra made its debut in Milan's Fuorisalone in 2012 with DoblePaso, a seat designed by Lucy Salamanca for outdoor settings and large interiors. It's a product that blends futuristic design with the technical virtuosity of the company.

In 2012 it also launched its first Bath Collection, created by ten designers.
Purapietra arose from one of Fabio Moscato's ideas. Lucy Salamanca is the brand's art director.
