zeyko at the house4kitchen 2011

This year, visits to the town that calls itself the ‘world’s kitchen metropolis’ – Löhne in North Rhine-Westphalia – broke all records. Well over 7,000 visitors found their way to the house4kitchen – a result to be proud of. It speaks volumes for the attractiveness of this relatively new centre of kitchen expertise.

  • Visualising the drive to align the brand with the message "zeyko – nature in mind"
  • Discussing the future shape and layout of kitchen space
  • Presenting fascinating innovations in function and design

zeyko – architects of the kitchen

Eight complete newly designed show kitchens were displayed in a transparent, but nonetheless cosy, ambience. One striking feature is the suggestion of an open transition between the living and kitchen areas. It’s a convincing example of the architectural possibilities in routine kitchen planning.

Remarkable is the return to a version of what used to be called the scullery. This idea is the logical consequence of the very welcome development of more and more open-plan kitchen-living rooms. For instance, if you’re cooking and eating with friends, by the time you’ve finished the second course, you’ll be looking at unsightly piles of dirty dishes in the kitchen area. How much better to have them disappear into a scullery area, containing the dishwasher, the waste bins and enough countertops for stacking up the dirty dishes and cooking pots.

and looks brilliant in combination with high-gloss black.
