Alessi supports (RED) in the fight against AIDS

Limited special editions strengthen awareness and raise money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS

Alessi has joined the (RED) campaign to raise awareness and money to fund the fight against AIDS. The annual one-month campaign "Eat (RED) Drink (RED) Save Lives", turns food and food-related things into a force to fight AIDS. It launched on June 1, 2015 in New York.

Alessi has produced special editions of two longtime bestsellers for the (RED) campaign: the corkscrews "Anna G.” and "Alessandro M.” from designer Alessandro Mendini. To mark the campaign, both corkscrews were produced in red versions and showed a white heart – a symbol that will encourage people to open their hearts for positive social change. Part of the profit from the sale of these two products – and other red coloured products – has been donated to Global Fund. The Alessi products for the (RED) campaign will be available until the end of 2015 – check out the ALESSI website at www.alessi.com/RED.

Alessi has always warmly supported humanitarian projects, both local initiatives and international campaigns. One example is the long-time partnership with the children's charity Ai.Bi. Amici dei Bambini. The company welcomes this opportunity to join the global fight against AIDS under the auspices of the charity (RED), founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shiver.
