Kenwood’s kMix boutique –
prizewinning breakfast range

For anyone who enjoys livening up their kitchen with designer products in fresh, lively colours, Kenwood’s new breakfast range, kMix boutique, is the perfect choice. The range includes a kettle, a coffee machine and a toaster was launched at the end of 2011. In the same year, it won a Plus X Award for the design and for the high quality. Each of the three kMix boutique products has a premium metal housing, which is available in magenta, blue, green, yellow or orange. Kenwood selected these colours carefully because a survey conducted by the company indicated that they were the most popular with consumers.

Stylish and practical

The products in this breakfast range are not only good to look at, they also perform well and they’re very practical. The 2,200 Watt kMix boutique jug kettle, for example, heats up a litre of water extremely fast. The kettle has a concealed heating element and sits on a 360 degree central contact. It has an automatic switch-off and boil-dry and overheating protection. The metal mesh filter keeps back lime particles  as you pour. The filter can be removed and rinsed clean. This is one feature that makes the kettle ideal for hard-water areas. The SureGripTM handle adds to user comfort and safety, even if you’re pouring with wet or greasy hands.

The kMix boutique coffee machine with ThermoGenTM technology heats the water to the ideal coffee making temperature of 94 degrees. Then there’s the OptiTempTM function with the separately heated hot plate which will keep the coffee at the right temperature until it’s served. A nice touch is the passively heated cup storage, for people who like their coffee piping hot. The machine’s capacity of 0.75 litres of water is enough for six cups of coffee. The toaster has a variable browning control and the practical Peek & View function which allows users to lift the toast slices and check how they’re browning without interrupting the toasting process. The toaster will also defrost and crisp up deep frozen rolls and croissants.
